This notice explains how the Captain Frugal website uses browser storage and optional analytics. It should be read together with the Privacy Policy.

Current website storage

The landing page stores an analytics preference in your browser's local storage under captain_frugal_analytics_consent_v1. This preference records whether analytics is accepted, the consent version, and the time the choice was updated.

Strictly necessary storage

The analytics preference is used to remember your choice and avoid asking on every visit. This storage is not used for advertising, selling personal data, or personalized ads.

Optional analytics

The website includes Google Analytics with consent mode set to deny analytics storage by default. If you accept analytics, the website may send page views, beta-form interactions, and call-to-action clicks to Captain Frugal and Google Analytics. These events are used to understand whether the beta page works and to improve the product page. Page-view measurement is disabled until analytics has been accepted.

No advertising cookies

Captain Frugal does not currently use advertising cookies, social tracking pixels, third-party behavioral advertising, ad personalization, or remarketing on the landing page.

Changing your choice

You can reopen the analytics preference banner from the Analytics preferences button in the homepage footer. You can also clear your browser storage for this site.
