Brand and IP Use Policy

Captain Frugal owns or controls the Captain Frugal name, product identity, app designs, companion, characters, logos, icons, artwork, screenshots, UI, copy, reward names, and related brand materials. This page explains that these materials are not free for public use.

No unauthorized use

You may not use, copy, register, imitate, modify, publish, sell, license, distribute, or create derivative works from Captain Frugal brand materials without prior written permission from Captain Frugal. This applies to apps, websites, domains, social handles, ads, merchandise, templates, prompts, training datasets, products, services, documents, business names, and marketing materials.

No confusing or official-looking use

You may not use Captain Frugal brand materials in a way that suggests sponsorship, endorsement, partnership, official status, resale rights, white-label rights, franchise rights, or access to Captain Frugal assets. You may not register or use names, marks, domains, handles, logos, mascots, or product designs that are confusingly similar to Captain Frugal.

Protected materials

• The Captain Frugal name and any confusingly similar names.
• Captain Frugal logos, icons, app marks, and visual identity.
• The Captain Frugal companion, mascot, characters, artwork, poses, videos, animations, and 3D or 2D assets.
• App screenshots, UI layouts, product copy, reward names, Captain Coins presentation, and marketing copy.
• Source code, documentation, designs, templates, and other original materials unless a separate written license says otherwise.

Limited lawful references

This policy does not restrict rights that cannot legally be restricted. Limited truthful references to Captain Frugal may be allowed for lawful reviews, news reporting, compatibility descriptions, app-store references, support requests, consumer complaints, or other fair or nominative uses. Any such use must be accurate, non-misleading, and limited to what is necessary.

Permission requests

Written permission is required before using Captain Frugal brand materials for commercial, promotional, product, training, resale, partnership, or public distribution purposes. Permission must come from Captain Frugal in writing and may be revoked if the use creates confusion, legal risk, security risk, or brand harm.

Enforcement

Captain Frugal may require removal, correction, account action, domain or platform complaints, takedown requests, or other available remedies when brand materials are used without permission or in a misleading, infringing, abusive, or harmful way.
