Account Deletion

Captain Frugal lets signed-in users start account deletion directly inside the app where the feature is available. If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email.
Delete your account in the app
- Open Captain Frugal and sign in.
- Open the More tab, then Settings.
- Scroll to Danger Zone.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm Delete.
After confirmation, the app sends the deletion request to the backend and signs you out.
If you cannot sign in
Email support from the address associated with your Captain Frugal account and request account deletion. We may ask you to verify account ownership before completing the request.

What deletion covers
Account deletion is intended to remove your account record and personal data associated with the account, including household finance content, receipt records, uploaded receipt files, reward records, and personalization history, unless retention is required for legal compliance, fraud prevention, accounting, security, platform requirements, or dispute handling. Some backup, audit, support, or security records may take longer to delete or may be retained in limited form where legally necessary.
Subscriptions
Deleting your Captain Frugal account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Manage active subscriptions in the Apple App Store or Google Play account where the subscription was started.
Timing
Most in-app account deletion requests are processed immediately. Manual support-assisted requests may take additional time if account ownership must be verified.
